Question about PvP Warrior Strategy
I hear a lot of different things about what to do with a Warrior in PvP. "Tanking and taking hits to protect the casters is all they're good for", or "Running in and killing the enemy casters because no one worries about you" as well as numerous other things.
So, I was wondering what you all thought a Warrior should be doing in a PvP battle. Also, since some say that a Warrior should try and take out enemy casters, would it be useful to use your Warrior against their Warrior (Judge's Insight & Penetrating Blow would help crack his armor) to prevent him from killing your casters? Or would that just be a waste?

Most people see that as a waste because while you are trying to crack him down, he's wailing on your monk, you're wailing on him, and their monk(s) have no pressure on them.
That makes it easier for his monks to last longer, especially since warriors don't take a lot of damage anyway.

running infront of another warrior on it's way to your monk is always nice. in arena, you notice some warriors will stop and atk you instead, cause you're picking a fight with em. then go after the others who are more threatening to your monk.

Your last target should be the enemies warrior, unless it's to hit him with a quick hamstring or hex to help out a friendly who is geting hit hard. This brings me to an important point. Damage is not the way to deal with warriors, hexes and conditions are. Smart players know this, so if your going to bring defensive skills focus on ones that deal with conditions and hexes, not self-heals or stances.
Your role generally is sticking to the called target like glue and dealing as much damage as possible. What your other roles are, are dependant upon your secondary.

Hah, I love when they do that. I just Hamstring em, then run away and hit a juicer target.

Haha, agreed. Even if they don't bite, it messes up their pathing for a second or two.
"Tank" warriors in pvp are stupid. To be of any use at all, you have to be attacked, and only idiots try to kill warriors first. All a "tank" warrior is good for is dragging out a battle after its already lost. I know we've all seen the tanker noobs with 3 healing spells and 2 defensive stances vomit out inanities like "WTF 1v1 ME NOOB" or "U HAD MONKS HEALING U." Usually, the inevitable defeat of said "tank" retorts with something like "OMG LOL IT TOOK ALL OF U 2 KILL ME," which is just stupid.

Not really, no. Look for targets of opportunity and stick it in deeply.

A warrior's job is to kill the enemy, obviously, starting with monks then working his way through other soft targets. However, in the hall of heroes a warrior's role may change depending on your build. If you have a build designed for holding, he may want to switch his role to help debilitate the enemy's offense (that is, after you cap ofcourse).
Also, whoever told you that "Tanking and taking hits to protect the casters is all they're good for" is a complete idiot.

Normally Warriors go for pure damage, which includes some self-buffs. Judge's Insight is very good no matter what you are attacking. However, with NR being so dominant most of the things like JI or the Conjure's aren't very viable anymore, so a good warrior can often provide a bit of support for the team also.
Common Examples would be W/R with Fertile Season/EoE or a W/E with Ward Against Foes.
